was born near Lyon in 1970 but my ancestors are from Normandie,
Pays d'Auge where my family has lived for the last four generations.
As far as I can remember, I have always loved to draw and cannot imagine my life without it. At first, I attended the Dupere School which emphasized the abstract.
Because this was not my main area of interest, I left this school and spent some time as a model creator. Later that year I attended the Cohl School in Lyon, which specializes in illustration, cartoons and animations.
In 1994, I began my current occupation as an independent illustrator.

Some of my favorite themes are imaginary travels. I enjoy representing places that appeal to me, gaining inspiration through locations in Scotland, Bretagne or the places of my childhood, the Pays d'Auge (Normandy). It is without a doubt my way to make them come alive when I cannot physically be there.
What I like about those places is what I can't see, what stays hidden and imagined...
A foggy hill or a lake with black waters in Scotland, some rocks with extraordinary and sometimes disturbing shapes on the Cote D'Armor (north Bretagne), the sea and her promise of travels, a path that runs deep into the wood whose destination is unknown, under all the green leaves of the Augeron Country...
Some places that are familiar become extraordinary if we allow our imaginations to run free.

We don't stay illustrators very long without the support of our editors. It is a relationship that is often cultivated over many years. I am fortunate to know most of the editors with whom I have worked with for years, some of them since I began my career. It has been a satisfying relationship.
