Weird Tales is an American fantasy and horror magazine founded by J.C. Henneberger and J.M.Lansinger in 1922. First issue dated March 1923. Early work by H.P. Lovecraft, Seabury Quinn and Clark Ashton Smith are all included. Lovecrafts Cthulhu Mythos first appeared in Weird Tales and other writers of the same style contributed including Robert E Howard who published several Conan the Barbarian Stories. Authors of note such as Ray Bradbury and Hannes Bok also contributed. Weird Tales continued until 1954 and is regarded by historians of fantasy and science as a legend in the field.
